In January 2026, a delegation of 10 outstanding students from Jiangxi Normal University (JXNU) embarked on a transformative 12-day academic and cultural journey across the United States.

Academic Immersion: Inside the American Classroom
The centerpiece of the visit was the delegation's time in North Carolina, where they were hosted by the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) and High Point University (HPU).
Moving beyond traditional campus tours, the JXNU students stepped directly into active lecture halls. They participated in interactive seminars, engaged in collaborative group discussions, and experienced firsthand the student-centered pedagogy of U.S. institutions. The contrast between HPU’s innovative campus environment and UNCG’s storied academic tradition offered the students a comprehensive view of the diverse American educational landscape.
From the Capital to the Big Apple: A Cultural Odyssey
The journey extended into two of America’s most influential cities, providing a rich historical and modern context to their academic studies:
Washington D.C.: Students explored the halls of the Smithsonian Museums and visited landmark sites like the Lincoln Memorial, gaining insight into the historical and political foundations of the United States.
New York City: The delegation experienced the high-energy pulse of the world’s financial and artistic capital, visiting iconic landmarks in Manhattan and observing the intersection of global commerce and culture.
Global Peer Exchange: Connecting the Next Generation
A highlight of the 12-day program was the direct interaction between JXNU students and their American counterparts. Through structured dialogue sessions and informal social gatherings, the students discussed everything from career aspirations to cultural nuances. These authentic "student-to-student" moments proved that while languages may differ, the curiosity and drive of the younger generation are universal
Looking Forward
"This experience has redefined my global perspective," noted one participating student. "Seeing the classrooms and cities in person provided a level of understanding that textbooks simply cannot offer."
As we conclude this successful exchange, we remain committed to building these vital bridges between Jiangxi Normal University and U.S. partner institutions, empowering the next generation of global citizens.
